2. Sat 21 Nov: match dayKick-off 21:00 local time at Santiago Bernabeu. Metro Line 10 to Santiago Bernabeu, which exits at the stadium; bus lines 14, 27, 43, 120, 147 and 150 also stop nearby. Ride time from Sol is not confirmed.
3. Sun 22 Nov: fly home

Tickets

Hard, members first. Usually from £47. Members first, then Madridista card holders; general sale for weaker fixtures opens a few days to 2 weeks before, and sometimes not at all for big games.

1. Go to realmadrid.com/en-US/tickets and use the filters to see which matches are currently on sale.
2. Create a free account when prompted, with your name, email and personal details.
3. Pick a match that shows a general sale; non-member tickets are often available for smaller league opponents.
4. Choose seats on the stadium map and pay by card; non-member prices start around EUR 100 and stands around EUR 410.
5. If your non-Spanish card fails at checkout, try another card or ask a friend in Europe to buy.

Make a weekend of it

• Walk the Plaza Mayor and have churros at Chocolateria San Gines nearby.
• Spend an hour in El Retiro park and the Crystal Palace.
• Eat tapas around Mercado de San Miguel and the La Latina streets.
