Most games reach general sale, but derbies against Dortmund area clubs and promotion games are close to sold out. Buying needs a free VfL.ID.

Price checked on the club's ticket page for 2026/27 price list, Category A home matches (Category B: Hertha, St. Pauli +3) on 25 October 2026.

Buying a ticket, step by step

When tickets go on sale: Some home games have an earlier sale for members and season-ticket holders who must log in to see them; others go straight to general sale. Dates are posted per match on vfl-bochum.de.

Membership: VfL member (2.50 euro discount); free VfL.ID account needed to buy. It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it.

  1. Open vfl-bochum.de and go to Shop & Tickets, then Ticketshop.
  2. Register a free VfL.ID account (name, address, email); you need it to buy.
  3. Pick the home match and check whether it is in members phase or general sale.
  4. Choose a block. The Ostkurve standing area is the loudest and cheapest; side seats cost more.
  5. Pay by card or PayPal and save the digital ticket to your phone.
  6. Bring the ticket on your phone to the turnstile on matchday.
