Close to sold out for most home games in a town of under 100,000; the Betzenberg is one of Germany's hardest second-tier tickets. Members and season-ticket holders take most of the capacity.

Buying a ticket, step by step

When tickets go on sale: Members first, then general sale on shop.fck.de, announced on fck.de a couple of weeks before the match. Often only a small number of tickets remain.

Membership: None needed for single tickets (members get priority). It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it.

  1. Check fck.de for the match sale announcement; it tells you the dates for members and general sale.
  2. Open shop.fck.de, the official ticket and merchandise shop, and register an account.
  3. Log in as soon as general sale opens and choose the home match.
  4. Pick a block on the map; the West stand end (Westkurve) is the loud home end and standing places are the cheapest.
  5. Pay by card or PayPal and save the ticket to your phone.
  6. On matchday allow time for the climb up the Betzenberg; the e-ticket is scanned at the gate.
