Big crowds (often 40,000 plus) but most league games reach general sale; derbies against Braunschweig and Hertha sell out quickly.

Buying a ticket, step by step

When tickets go on sale: Members and season-ticket holders buy first; general sale opens a few weeks before the match and is announced on hannover96.de/tickets.

Membership: None needed for single tickets (members get priority sale). It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it.

  1. Open hannover96.de/tickets, which explains the sale phases and links to the official ticket shop.
  2. Register for a free account in the ticket shop with your real name, address and email.
  3. Select the home match and check whether it is in the members phase or general sale.
  4. Choose a block on the map. Standing places in the Nordkurve cost the least; seated blocks along the sides cost more.
  5. Pay by card or PayPal and download the ticket as a print-at-home PDF or save it to your phone.
  6. Bring the ticket on your phone to the turnstile; the ground is a short Stadtbahn ride from the centre.
