Member presale absorbs supply. Press reports (Bild via ran.de, 11 Aug 2026) say free sale for Mainz was cancelled and none is planned for the rest of the 2026 home games; all 17 home games in 2025-26 sold out.
Buying a ticket, step by step
When tickets go on sale: Member presale only; the next reported chance for a general sale is the home game against Leverkusen on the second January weekend of 2027 (unconfirmed, press report).
Membership: HSV membership. You'll need it for most games.
- Register an account in the HSV ticket shop from hsv.de/en/tickets.
- Join HSV as a member if you want presale access; check each home match page for 'Mitglieder-Vorverkauf' or 'freier Verkauf'.
- Watch hsv.de and the HSV newsletter for any open-sale announcement; the January 2027 Leverkusen game is the next reported candidate.
- If a match is sold out, use the official ticket exchange (Ticketboerse) in the shop in match week.
- Tickets are digital; the match ticket doubles as an HVV travel ticket on matchday.
Tips
- Plan around away-style options: many visitors only get in through membership or the official exchange.
- HSV says match tickets act as free HVV tickets to and from the stadium on matchday.
