Buying a ticket, step by step
When tickets go on sale: Free sale for Bundesliga home games usually starts 4 to 6 weeks before the match, and members usually get access 1 to 2 days earlier (club Vorverkaufstermine page).
Membership: BVB membership (presale access). It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it. It costs about €62.
- Open the BVB ticket shop at ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/bvb and register an account with your email and postal address.
- Join BVB as a member on bvb.de (about EUR 62 per season); it ranks you above the public but does not guarantee tickets.
- Check the shop for your match: it shows whether it is in member sale, a public lottery, or general sale, and which opens first.
- If a lottery is offered, register your interest and wait for the result on the draw day, then pay for any tickets you win.
- In an open sale, choose a block and seats, pay by card and receive the ticket digitally.
- If sold out, look at the official resale in match week or book hospitality, which does not need membership.
Tips
- Avoid Viagogo and similar sites: BVB says they break its terms and tickets can be invalid.
- Your match ticket works as a return ticket on local public transport on matchday.
- The Sudtribune standing area is the hardest part to get into as a non-regular.
