How to buy AZ Alkmaar tickets

The match pages for league games checked (Groningen, Twente) say open sale: no AZ Clubkaart or season ticket needed and no ticket limit; resale-only once sold out.

Buying a ticket, step by step

When tickets go on sale: Per match; the 8 Nov 2026 Groningen game was already on sale on 25 Oct 2026, and the Twente game that day had only resale tickets left.

Open az.nl/wedstrijden/tickets and find the match in the 'Programma' list.
Check the label: 'Koop nu je tickets' or 'Nu beschikbaar' means open sale, 'Alleen resale nog beschikbaar' means only resale, 'Helaas, uitverkocht' means sold out.
Open 'Meer info' and read 'Losse verkoop'; for the league games checked it says free sale and no AZ Clubkaart or season ticket is needed (a few matches, such as cup finals, ask for a verified account).
Press 'Tickets bestellen', which opens ticketshop.az.nl, and create or log in to a free AZ account (the Clubkaart itself is free and arrives by email if a match asks for it).
Choose seats and pay online; you can also buy at the AZ Fancentrum in the stadium.
For a sold-out game, use the 'Resale' page at az.nl/resale.

Tips

Matches are 'Home-support only': fans of the visiting club with tickets outside their own zone are refused entry.
Check the match page the day before the sale label changes; it moves quickly to 'Alleen resale'.

Getting there

From the airport

Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Sloterdijk or Zuid: NS Sprinter/Intercity. Take the NS train from Schiphol station and change at Sloterdijk; ticket machine or contactless, fare not verified.
Amsterdam Sloterdijk to Alkmaar: NS Intercity. Intercity towards Alkmaar; about 35 minutes total from Schiphol per the app data, not independently verified.
Or Schiphol Airport to Alkmaar: Taxi / Uber, 40 minutes. Possible but expensive; fare not verified.

To AFAS Stadion

Free shuttle buses run from behind Alkmaar NS station to the Arcadialaan stop from 2 hours before kick-off; the walk from P Solar is about 18 minutes (club page). Bus 163 from the station is also reported by a guide.

On match day

Alkmaar station is close to the centre; walk or taxi to the AFAS Stadion.
