Large ground, so league tickets are usually still on sale close to the game. Madrid derby, Barcelona and Champions League knockouts are far harder and dearer.
Buying a ticket, step by step
When tickets go on sale: General sale opens once the date and kick-off are confirmed, usually about a month before a LaLiga game; socios get priority first. Some stands (for example lower south stand) are socio-only for some matches.
Membership: Socio (priority access before general sale; not required). It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it.
- Open atleticodemadrid.com and go to Entradas > Entradas del primer equipo > Listado de entradas (English: en.atleticodemadrid.com/listado-de-entradas).
- Find the home match and press the buy button; matches appear once date and time are confirmed. Use the 'notify me' option for fixtures not yet on sale.
- Pick seats on the stadium map and check the view with the virtual stadium.
- Registration is optional: enter your details as a guest, pay by card (a booking fee is added).
- Tickets are emailed with a barcode/QR and can be added to your phone wallet.
- Parking tickets use a separate portal, entradas.atleticodemadrid.com.
Tips
- League tickets typically start around EUR 30 plus booking fee; cheapest seats for Real Madrid, Barcelona or Champions League knockout games are likely EUR 50 or more.
- Season-ticket holders can pass their seat on, so extra seats can appear in the days before a game.
- Do not buy from resale sites; the club's own page is the only official channel.
