Buying a ticket, step by step
When tickets go on sale: Members and season-ticket holders buy first (Union Berlin 28 Nov: from 15 Oct), then free sale opens about 33 days before (26 Oct 10:00), with up to 10 tickets per person.
Membership: Mitglied. It gets you in before general sale, but you don't need it.
- Open mainz05.de/tickets/ubersicht and look at the list of home fixtures for the match you want and its sale phase.
- Pick the match and wait for the general sale (freier Verkauf) to open; earlier phases are for members and season-ticket holders.
- Choose a seat category, add it to the basket and pay by card in the club's online shop; you create a free account at checkout.
- Print the ticket or save it to your phone wallet; it also works as a public transport ticket in the Mainz and Rhine-Main area on matchday.
- If the match is sold out, check the official ticket exchange on the same page in match week.
Tips
- Match tickets normally include free local public transport, so you do not need a separate tram ticket.
- Standing tickets on the Nordtribuene are cheapest; the home end is loud and fun.
