Buying a ticket, step by step
When tickets go on sale: Member sale; resale in days before game.
Membership: Union membership. You'll need it for most games.
- Create a ticket-shop account at tickets.union-zeughaus.de (Zeughaus account) (verified email, postal address).
- Check whether the match is Mitglieder-Vorverkauf (members) or free sale; look for 'Zweitmarkt'/'Ticketboerse' (official resale) if sold out.
- Select block and seats; clubs often cap tickets per account (usually 2-4).
- Pay by card; tickets are delivered as mobile ticket (app/wallet) and may be personalised.
- If not available, set a reminder for the day before and during match week to catch returns.
Tips
- Do not use Viagogo or similar: tickets are personalised in many cases and scams are common.
- Entry is by app/e-ticket; check whether your club ties tickets to a member card or ID.
- Official resale (Zweitmarkt / 'Ticketbörse') is the legitimate way to pick up returns, usually in the days before the game.
- Match-day tickets include free local public transport (KombiTicket) at most German clubs; check the ticket details.
- Fan guides advise avoiding Viagogo; tickets are delivered via Zeughaus account/app.
